Basic laboratory experiments supporting theoretical principles presented in CHEM 1312; introduction of the scientific method, experimental design, chemical instrumentation, data collection and analysis, and preparation of laboratory reports.
Track the progress of the CHEM-1112 course build. Each module contains lessons, activities, and assessments designed to build understanding of general chemistry concepts.
You can change a panel to load up as open in the html by updating the div with dp-panel-group with the class that will make it active ...<div class="dp-panel-group dp-panel-active">
When viewing the lessons offline, the images will be loaded from local files instead of Canvas URLs. To do this, a custom script is used along with a json data file to map the image names to the IDs that the Canvas compatible HTML uses.
For more information on how to set this up, please see the documentation here.
To maintain consistency across all lesson pages, this project includes a standardized template system. The template includes:
Template Files:
To create a new lesson page, simply copy the template, rename it following the m[#]-[type]-[topic].html convention, replace all placeholders, and add your content between the designated markers.
Several modules include interactive activities designed to enhance student engagement and understanding. These activities utilize JavaScript and CSS to provide a dynamic learning experience.
Try a few of the interactive activities below:This course will have significant course competency (CO) and Learning objectives (LO) upgrades targeted for fall 2027
