MODULE 3 Intermolecular Forces of Liquids and Solids

CHEM-1112M3 Introduction to Intermolecular Forces of Liquids and Solids

In this experiment, solubility of several molecules in water will be tested. Factors such as stirring, heating, and particle size will be evaluated for their effect on solubility. The effect of saturation and supersaturation will be observed as well as the impact of solvent on reaction success.

Course Competencies and Learning Objectives

CC3.1 Experiment with the physical properties of mixtures in a laboratory setting

LO3.1.1 Distinguish the solubility of different compounds in water

LO3.1.2 Calculate the percent yield of the product
