This module will provide students an overview, construction, and use of a coffee cup calorimeter and determine the heat of reaction of a neutralization reaction.

CC5.1 Compare the properties of acids and bases to determine physical properties through experimentation

LO5.1.1 Construct titration apparatus

LO5.1.2 Employ knowledge of the pH scale

LO5.1.3 Calculate the pH and pOH

LO5.1.4 Calculate the [H3O+] and [OH-]
